#GBS18 brings best of business thinking to Cheltenham

Mailer, News

Two days crammed with valuable content for businesses across the spectrum, choose from over 60 engaging and informative sessions covering:

International Trade, Cyber & Information Security, Business & The Arts, Gloucestershire Focus,

Food & Farming, Skills for Business, Innovation, Women in Business, Faith & Business, Gloucestershire Business Leaders, Procurement, Property, Energy …..and more.

Our programming is driven by Gloucestershire’s leading business influencers with innovative projects such as the region’s first independent company to specialise in Electric Vehicle (EV) sales, service and hire, the UK’s inaugural Cyber Science Park, a magnet for the leading thinkers in cyberspace and how Augmented Reality (AR) can boost sales.

Our International Trade team led by Join in China, has arranged international trade delegations from China, Taiwan and India and the Food & Farming Zone will be showcasing the very best of Gloucestershire’s food and drink in the Fosters’ Event Catering Theatre Kitchen.

The Creative Suite will play host to our Business & Arts thread exploring how the creative arts and culture of Gloucestershire support and thrive on the business community, using the skills and experience that performance and fine arts bring to develop healthy and sustainable workplaces.

Our Information Security Zone team brings together  private sector businesses in technical, legal and human behaviour with Government agencies and law enforcement on county, regional and UK wide scales.  With cyber threats being ‘when and not if’, major legislation arriving with GDPR and uncertain environments both commercially and in national security, there has never been a more important time to understand the digital landscape from business resilience through to social engineering, basic digital housekeeping and the impact social media and fake news has had on world events.

Our 2018 event programme also carries topical discussion issues around Women in Business and the steps necessary to tackle the gender balance;  Faith in business – how can they relate? And the question of how Gloucestershire will be shaped for 2050 and how we manage that journey.

Many of our exhibitors are also taking advantage of our LIVEtalk sessions, 15 minute short talks held on exhibitor stands around the show. These give opportunities to Gloucestershire’s specialists to highlight topical issues in a drive toward better and more efficient business.
